Urban Landscapes
Welcome to Urban Landscapes, an online exhibition that captures the vibrant, complex, and ever-changing nature of city life. This collection explores the intersection of architecture, humanity, and environment, offering a unique perspective on the urban experience.
The Pulse of the City
Cities are more than just concrete and steel; they are living entities with a pulse of their own. In this show, each piece seeks to convey the rhythm and energy of urban spaces—how they breathe life into those who inhabit them. From the towering skyscrapers that define the skyline to the hidden alleyways where stories unfold, these works invite you to explore the multifaceted character of metropolitan environments.
Layers of Urban Life
Urban landscapes are layered with history, culture, and emotion. This exhibition delves into these layers, revealing the contrasts and contradictions that make cities so dynamic. You’ll find pieces that juxtapose the old with the new, the mundane with the extraordinary, and the chaos with the calm. Each artwork tells a story, reflecting the artist’s interaction with the urban environment and the emotions it evokes.
A New Perspective
In Urban Landscapes, familiar city scenes are presented through fresh eyes. The artists challenge traditional views of urban settings, offering abstract interpretations, bold color palettes, and innovative compositions. Whether it's a bustling street scene or a solitary moment of reflection, each piece captures the essence of the urban experience in a way that is both personal and universal.
Engage and Reflect
This exhibition is not just a visual experience; it’s an invitation to engage with the city in new ways. As you browse through the collection, we encourage you to reflect on your own experiences with urban spaces. How do these environments shape your life? What stories do they tell? We hope Urban Landscapes will inspire you to see the cities around you in a new light.

Marjorie & Bob Moskowitz
Marjorie and Bob Moskowitz created a new persona, (MB Mosk) when they began collaborating, separate from their individual studio practices. These works are a curious hybrid only slightly resembling their own work. The process attempts to create a seamless blending to appear as a single artist has produced the painting. They draw on their shared approach to looking at the peculiar nature of people and the world. Their sense of irony and humor is a vehicle to allude to a deeper meaning below the surface.

ANdrew Engel
Having been born in Manhattan and raised in the Bronx, New York City, the urban landscape has always been my Home. I paint pictures of the same types of tenements and buildings I grew up in. It is not only the buildings, but the people, the lives, the families that were in them. It is in my blood. The older the building the better. All the storms, heat, cold, wind, wears on the building itself, giving it a character all its own. You have to live it like I to appreciate it, it's in my blood. Green, rural landscapes are the exact opposite. Though I appreciate the beauty of nature, it doesn't inspire me to paint it like many other artists. I can and like to paint concrete and asphalt, not grass. I guess that says it.

Gina Judy
Often, I frequent Pittsburgh and belong to a number of art groups and life-drawing galleries there. I love taking photographs and doing plein-air work, which is what motivated many of these images. I have two art-degrees, and taught art for over thirty-years, and hold twelve signature-memberships in watercolor societies around the country. I exhibit in many shows that have a national or international screening, mostly in the last ten-years, and highlights this year among others include the 78th Ohio Juried Annual of the Zanesville Museum of Art, the Adirondacks National Exhibition of American Watercolors at The VIEW in Old Forge, NY, a Painting Award at the Westmoreland (PA) Festival Art Nationals and Merit Award at the West Virginia Art Nationals.
